I was a little one in the 1970's, and I remember those gizmos! AMC was the #2 automaker for a bit with the Pacer and Gremlin, the Japanese started sending over their Hondas and Datsuns, which were little more than their version of the Pregnant Roller Skate (WV Bug).
I'd hate to share the road with these Mr. Bean Mobiles now, if I was on my bicycle. Not for my safety; I wouldn't want to hurt the people in the car.
